Garden Maintenance:
Maintaining a garden takes work, and sometimes the last thing you want to do on your weekends is to be cutting lawns and pruning shrubs. We offer competitive hourly rates for domestic garden maintenance. Our team are qualified gardeners and we only employ people with a minimum of 2 years experience. We can visit weekly or fortnightly.
Garden clearance:
Perhaps you have just moved in to a new property or your existing garden has grown a bit out of control. We can help with garden clearances, offering full or half day rates for a team to come and blitz you garden to bring it to a more manageable level.
Commercial ground maintenance:
Our existing clients include private housing estates and business properties that need to maintain their premises to a high standard. We can visit weekly or twice monthly to keep your grounds in the best condition for clients or residents.
Property Developers:
Are you clearing a site for renovations or developing a plot of land? We now specialise in clearing overgrown areas in preparation for building works. Dealing with relevant planning applications regarding trees, and felling and removing any trees required. We work in partnership with developers at the early stages of projects to clear land for plant access.
Tree Surgery:
Trees need to be maintained both for asthetic reasons and for safety. Our tree team are tight knit and have worked together for years, they will work quickly and safely together to maintain or remove your trees.
Work undertaken includes:
General maintenance of trees, felling, dead wood removal, stump grinding, crown reduction, crown thinning and crown lifting.
Tree Felling:
Working in London requires a great deal of skill when felling trees in small properties. We specialise in taking down trees where access is restricted. Relax and let our team take care of your trees.
Stump Grinding:
Felling a tree means taking the trunk to just above ground level. However should you require the stump to be gone completely from view then we have the specialist equipment to take care of it. With our Stump grinding machine we can remove the stump to below ground level leaving your garden looking like there was never a tree there at all. The resultant wood chip will be returned to the soil to provide vital nutrients for your garden.
Canopy Reduction:
Of course we would always prefer to keep a tree rather than remove it but trees can grow too big for their space and need to be managed. A crown reduction is one of the ways of doing this. This technique involves reducing the size of the canopy by anything up to 50% depending on the species. This will allow vital light in to your property and keep limbs from damaging buildings in high winds.
Canopy Lift:
This is a great technique for allowing fresh light in to a garden, particulary good for trees blocking light coming in through windows. It can revitalise bedding plants and lawns which have been shaded out from low hanging tree limbs, giving new life to your garden without needing to remove the whole tree. A crown lift will involve removing a few selected lower limbs, raising the height of the lowest ones.
Dead wood removal:
It is a natural part of a trees life cycle for some limbs to die off while it puts its energy into others. However, we live side by side with trees and this hanging dead wood can be a falling hazard. We will come and assess your trees and remove any wood that could be a hazard to you, your family or members of the public.
We also offer an inspection service especially useful after high winds to identify any potentially hazardous branches.
Planning applications:
Depending on the tree in question and the location of your property it may be necessary to submit a formal application to the council for permission to carry out any work. This can be complicated and time consuming. For a small admin charge we can take care of any application on your behalf, liasing with the local authority and gaining the correct permissions required.
